1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. The i3+ is a great option for those who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot after it has filled up.
Both robots are adept at cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept in moving around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we test. It may be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot suggests that you clean up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is low it will return to its docking station and automatically empties its debris into the station's external dustbin and then resumes cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and it takes about three hours to fully recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line and is equipped with the most recent features. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is the self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that allows it to create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin that eliminates a major source of maintenance and cuts down on recurring costs.
We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected, we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for most households however, it can also fit nicely on a coffee table or on a bookshelf where you can wave it around like the magic device.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power without fading for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system traps allergens, then releases fresh air into your home.
